The term Academic, with regards to the ECF, is used to cover all members of the imaging or radiotherapy workforce who work in higher education institutions (HEIs) and/or wider professional environments that are involved in the planning and delivery of education across all levels and specialisms of the profession. This is separate from the role of Practice Educator.
Variation in the title of this role may exist across the UK, depending on the specifics of the role to which an individual is appointed, for example:
